1001 Livros que devemos ler antes de morrer

Antes de mais: Feliz Dia Mundial do Livro!
Hoje é um dia que qualquer amante de literatura verá com bons olhos. E como não tinha nada de especial em mente, decidi publicar uma das listas mais famosas relativas a livros: 1001 Livros que devemos ler antes de morrer.
E vou pôr a negrito os que já li e sublinhar os que pretendo ler em breve (os que já tenho em minha posse). E já agora se estiverem no Goodreads, visitem o Grupo dedicado a isto.
O facto publicar esta lista não significa que concorde com todas as escolhas (acho que deixa de fora muitas obras icónicas), mas julgo ser algo interessante para este dia. No entanto há que ver que mesmo que me dedicasse só a ler livros desta lista (e nunca dela saísse) demoraria para aí uns 20 anos a terminá-la (se lesse uma média de 52 títulos por ano).

  2. muito curiosa esta entrada, gostei.

    mas esta lista não deve estar lá muito bem feita: tantos e tantos nomes repetidos... Só Philip Roth, J. G. Ballard, J. M. Coetzee e Jane Austen estão representados pelo menos 6 vezes.
    São nomes de peso mas penso que a lista teria a ganhar se fosse mais abrangente.
    É pena que não tenha o Luís Vaz de Camões, somamos três do Saramago.

    Li muito pouco da lista:

  3. faltou-me referir. é curioso que estejam contos do Allan Poe. É o único, penso, que é representado por contos e não livros/epopeias.

    Rui, não fui eu que fiz a lista. Na web há várias versões mas todas têm vários nomes repetidos. Não que ache mal em certos casos, mas a verdade é que, como já disse, deixam de fora outras grandes obras.
    Hehe! Eu nem tinha reparado que tinha contos do Edgar Allan Poe na lista (que eu já li, ainda por cima), mas é realmente estranho que ele seja o único que tenha contos listados em separado. Compreendia se fosse a colectânea de contos (como tem com o Jorge Luís Borges e outros), mas assim é estranho.
    E já leste alguns, o que não é nada mau. Lê-los todos é quase impossível, a menos que não se leia mais nada durante muuuuito tempo.
